If you have a device with a USB connector, you will find a couple of USB ports in the power point next to the bed which may come in handy!

Each of our rooms feature individual reverse cycle air-conditioning with controls located next to the door. To help save energy, the air-conditioning will turn off automatically when you remove your key card from the slot on departure or open the balcony door (if you have one that is)

If you need some encouragement to get up in the morning, let us be your alarm. Just let us know and we’ll arrange a wake-up call for you.

We offer baby cots free for guest use on demand and subject to availability. If you’d like one please let us know asap!

If you’re checking out and don’t feel like lugging your bags around for the day, you can leave them with us. Just drop them off on departure and we’ll securely store them until our final goodbye.

We think the there’s nothing like exploring a city under pedal power and you may have spotted our fleet of bikes on the way in – they’re there to be borrowed free of charge. Ask us about our favourite cycle routes.

Feel the cold or doona not your thing? We have plenty of spare blankets on hand. Just give us a call and we will deliver to your door.

It’s important to start the day well. Complimentary continental buffet breakfast and barista coffee is served in the mezzanine from 7am – 11am everyday.

While we don’t have our own parking, if you’ve got a car there are a number of paid parking facilities close by. Click here for details of all the car parks close to the hotel.

The most convenient parking is the State Library car park, off Francis Street just next door.

Just remember not all the car parks are open 24 hours, so if you need to get in late or out early please check before parking. If in doubt, let us know and we can point you in the right direction.

We’re a reasonable bunch when it comes to check out time, officially its 12 midday but if you need a bit more time let us know and we’ll see what we can do.

While we don’t have mini bars or kettles in the room, you’ll find complimentary French press coffee, great loose leaf tea and fresh milk in the Mezzanine Lounge Pantry. Feel free to help yourself at any time of the day or night and we’re completely cool with you taking a cuppa back to your room.
A kettle for your room is available on request if you prefer to have one all to yourself, just call down to reception.

Our Lobby Espresso bar is always open, so if you’re craving a great locally roasted coffee come and see us we’ll sort you out.

If you got a little event or soiree in mind, we’d be more than happy to help you put something together. Our 6th floor meeting room and outdoor terrace are available for a range of events, with catering available from Shadow Wine Bar. Feel free to get in touch with us to discuss what you had in mind.

We take your safety seriously, and hope you do too.  See the round sign on the back of door – read that if the alarm goes off. It’ll remind you where the nearest fire escape is and best way out in the event of an emergency. Along the way you’ll find additional signs telling you where our hotel muster point is located.

Need some florals to brighten up the room? Give us a call and we can arrange same day delivery from our friends at Beans and Bunches, open every day except Sundays.

If you have items that need to be kept cool you can use the communal fridge on mezzanine level kitchenette. If you have any valuable items, ask reception and we can store them in a secure fridge.

Staying in? Find a stack of our favourite games in the mezzanine lounge including Scrabble, Code Names, Uno, Rummikub, Articulate and Monikers.

You’ll find a hairdryer in the calico bag in your bathroom.

We’ll service your room daily. If you’d rather we didn’t, simply hang out your door sign with the red side facing the corridor and we’ll leave you alone. If you’re happy to reuse your towels (and help save water) let us know by hanging up your towels – that’s the cue to tell us not to have them replaced.

Wifi is free and all around you! The Wi-Fi network is called ‘Alex Wifi’ and it’s an open network, no password required.

You will find irons and ironing boards on each floor. They are located in the cupboard with a small iron symbol above the door. Grab what you need and leave it outside your door when done for us to put away.

Our friends at Broadway Dry Cleaners have been in the game for decades and are tried and tested. Available Monday to Friday simply drop off your laundry in the bag provided together with your completed laundry docket with reception by 9am for a same day service.

The focal point of the hotel stretches across the two levels and should be regarded as your home away from home. Whether it’s a coffee or a glass of wine; to relax or to work, the space is yours to make your own and we’ll always be on hand for a chat or to offer directions to our favourite haunts.

For any personal items that may have been misplaced, please let us know at reception. Leave something behind? Let us know and we can post it back to you!

Located on the 6^th floor with great views of the city and surrounds our function and meeting room is a great space for smaller corporate events. Fitted out with AV and conference phone facilities, let us know what you are after and we’ll assist you in putting something together.

Chrome cast is in each room! Connect your desired device and stream your favourite movies and TV shows. Alternatively, Palace Cinema is just 500m from our front door at Raine Square. Palace features high quality international and local art house movies, mainstream titles, events and film festivals. We recommend going Platinum and making use of the private bar and fully reclining leather seats.

Our bathroom amenities are made locally by Vasse Virgin from all-natural ingredients. Can’t get enough?  Vasse Virgin Shampoo, Conditioner and Body wash can be purchased from reception.

Need something else? Don’t panic, we’ve got a range of last-minute personal items available for purchase: Band aids, Condoms, Tampons / Pads, Toothbrush, Hairspray, Deodorant, Nail Polish remover, Bobby pins, Hair tie, Shaving Cream, Hair Brush, Toothpaste, Batteries.

If you feel like heading outdoors with a hamper full of goodies, we can arrange a fully loaded picnic for you, complete with a picnic rug! Take the bikes or enjoy on the rooftop terrace! Includes cheese and charcuterie selection by Shadow Wine bar and two Capi soft drinks.

Feel free to head up to the roof terrace and take in the view. Located on level 6, you’ll find a great range of comfy places to sit back and relax. Why not grab a wine from the lobby before you head up?

We are here to look after you…. for your safety and security the front gate of the hotel is locked each night – your room key will let you back in and there is an intercom just in case. Please take care of any valuables during your stay, safety deposit boxes are available for your use on the ground floor. It is important that you take the time to review the evacuation procedures on the back of the door and in the event of an alarm, please follow the instructions provided.

We love fresh air and hope you do too. To ensure it stays that way for everyone, the hotel is completely non-smoking, including the balconies and terraces.

Water bottles are complimentary and can be found in the fridge of the kitchenette in the Mezzanine level. Feel free to grab as many as you want and take them to your room – glasses and bottle opener can be found in your room.
