Where can I park?

In regards to ALEX HOTEL parking, we are conveniently located right next to the CPP Perth Library Carpark which is open 7 days a week. Please see CPP’s website for more information about parking fees and opening times. https://www.cityofperthparking.com.au/state-library

Is there a rooftop bar?

We do have a rooftop terrace, however all drinks must be ordered from the downstairs lobby bar as there is no bar located on the Alex rooftop. Hotel guests are however most welcome to bring a drink and some food from Shadow Wine Bar upstairs to enjoy on the rooftop terrace so you can take in the city views. 

Is breakfast included?

Absolutely — A complimentary continental breakfast is provided on our mezzanine floor every morning for all of our hotel guests. This includes locally roasted coffee and a selection of teas, as well as our favorite house-made granola and bread and pastries from our friends at Bread in Common.

Is there high speed WiFi?

Yes — our hotel spaces and all of our rooms are equipped with free WiFi for your convenience.

Can I take some toiletries home with me?

As our hotel room toiletry bottles are refillable, we ask that you please do not take them home with you, as they are reused for our next guest. But if you have fallen in love with Vasse Virgin’s luxe bath and body products (we don’t blame you!) they are available to purchase from the downstairs lobby.

Can I extend my stay?

Absolutely — Just contact our friendly team and we will do our utmost best to accommodate your request. Please note that this all depends on room availability.

What time is reception open?

Reception is open 24/7, there will always be someone to assist you.

Is your hotel accessible?

Yes — our hotel is accessible and has all the facilities that you would require. We also have a specific accessible room created with accessibility in mind, including a large wheelchair accessible shower equipped with grab rails. 

Do you sell gift cards?

Yes — we sell gift cards, and they can also be purchased via our website here.

Where are you located?

We are conveniently located in the heart of Northbridge and close to WA Art Museums and the State Library. 

Do you supply cots?

Yes — we do supply cots, just let us know if you require one.

Do you do early check ins or late check outs?

Standard check in time is 2pm. Early check in is subject to availability. Please give us a call the morning of your arrival and we will see what we can do for you.

You may leave your bags with reception when you arrive, until your room is ready. You’re welcome to relax in one of our beautiful communal spaces with a coffee while you await check in.

Our check-out time is at 12pm. Late check-out is subject to availability, so it is best to check with our staff the night before. If available, we charge a flat rate of $30 for every additional hour after the check-out time. 

Do you offer room service?

Yes — we offer room service from Shadow Wine Bar.

What is your cancellation policy?

We have two different cancellation policies. Our non-refundable rate is non refundable and cannot be adjusted. If you book our Flexible Rate, you’re welcome to adjust your booking up until 24 hours prior to check in.

Do you have a minimum age requirement to reserve a room?

The minimum age is 18 years.

Do you cater for families?

Yes — we cater for families, we have small and large family rooms available.

What transport options are available nearby?

We are very lucky to be located in the heart of Perth CBD with lots of public transport options, including buses, train services and taxis. The Alex Hotel is only a 300 metre walk from Perth Station and Busport. The new Airport Line provides a direct train service between Perth Airport to Perth Station in just 18 minutes.

Can you store my luggage before or after my stay?

Yes — we can certainly store your luggage before and after your stay.

Do you offer a laundry service?

We do offer laundry service, and if it’s dropped to reception prior to 8.00am Monday — Friday we will ensure same day service.

Do you have fridges in the rooms?

We don’t have fridges in our rooms due to our sustainability promise, however we do have a fridge in our lovely Mezzanine Lounge on Level 1, which is available for our guests to use 24/7.

Is there any coffee making facilities in the hotel?

We have complimentary locally roasted coffee and tea facilities located in the guest kitchenette in the Mezzanine Lounge.

Are you able to provide an ironing board and iron for clothes?

Certainly — We have ironing boards and irons on each level for guests to use.

Do you have rooms with twin beds?

Yes we do — Our small and large rooms can be made to include twin beds. Please be sure to let us know prior to check in so we can organise this for you.
